This month, the BreakTudo Awards 2022 ceremony took place in Brazil. Wizkid competed with Ava Max, Charli XCX, Danna Paola, Jackson Wang, Maluma, Rosalía and SIA in the Global Artist category and ended up being the big winner of the year.
Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun is artistically known as Wizkid, he is 32 years old, born in Lagos, Nigeria, and today he is one of the biggest names in African music in the world. In 2006, he used Lil Prinz as his stage name, in 2009 he signed with Empire Mates Entertainment and started recording his first studio album.

On January 2, 2010, he released “Holla at Your Boy” as the lead single from his debut album, and the song was nominated for three awards. So, 2010 was the year that Wizkid achieved success in his country, scoring hits on the Nigerian charts. In June 2011, Wizkid finally released his debut album called “Superstar” and the disc was awarded Album of the Year at the Nigeria Entertainment Awards 2012.
In 2014, the singer and rapper released “Ayo” as his second studio album. In 2016, Wizkid began to gain more international recognition for the fact that he was one of the composers of the song “One Dance” by Drake, a track that went to number 1 on the American Billboard Hot 100. Wizkid also has his vocals on the song, along with Drake and Kyla.
